Swearingin.com is intended for useful identity, publishing, projects, conversation, and real connection. These guidelines describe the behavior expected on the independent Root Platform.
Respect people
Do not harass, stalk, intimidate, target, or repeatedly abuse another person. Do not organize harassment or use the service to evade another person's block.
No hateful or abusive conduct
Do not use the Root Platform to attack, threaten, or dehumanize people through hateful or abusive conduct.
No violence or threats
Do not make credible threats, encourage violence, or use the service to facilitate violent or unlawful harm.
No sexual exploitation
Do not publish sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, or unlawful sexual content. Public Root Platform accounts are currently limited to adults age 18 or older.
No impersonation
Do not deceptively impersonate another person, organization, or protected identity. Usernames and profiles must not be used to mislead people about who is operating an account.
No spam, fraud, or manipulation
Do not use automated or repetitive behavior to spam users, manipulate engagement, distribute scams, solicit fraudulent payments, or otherwise abuse platform features.
Respect privacy
Do not publish private or sensitive information about another person without authorization, dox another person, defeat visibility controls, or attempt to expose content that the Root Platform properly restricts.
Protect platform security
Do not distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, defeat authentication or throttling, interfere with service operation, or misuse account, media, reporting, moderation, or administrative systems.
Reporting and moderation
The Root Platform supports report reasons including harassment, spam, impersonation, hate or abusive conduct, violence or threats, sexual or exploitative content, privacy concerns, and other concerns.
Reports are reviewed through Root Platform moderation controls. Depending on the supported case and content state, moderation may hold, remove, restore, or close a matter without content mutation.
Where an appeal is available, affected content owners may use that process. False, retaliatory, or abusive reporting is itself inconsistent with these guidelines.
