Day 2 — Dodge City to Fort Collins

Compare with The Plan →

Saturday was mainly a travel day. We left Gunsmoke RV Park in Dodge City in the morning, stopped at Boot Hill before leaving town, crossed into Colorado, and finished the day at the Poudre Rest Area near Fort Collins, where we stayed for the night.

The day started with us pulling out of Gunsmoke RV Park in Dodge City. Before putting Dodge City behind us, we visited Boot Hill Museum and Front Street and took some photos of the historic area. From there we headed west, crossed into Colorado, and continued toward Fort Collins. By the end of the day we had reached the Poudre Rest Area, which became our Saturday night stop. The next morning we would leave from there and head toward Estes Park.
